Here’s a little taste of our engagement session with Kristy and Reno.  Enjoy!!

We started the engagement session at their high school, where they met.  How sweet is that?

We had the hallways mostly to ourselves, except for a few stray students and faculty members who thought we were insane.

More fun in the hallway…

After an outfit change we headed up to the Westend Overlook for more images.  This is one of our favorite places to take photos since it has so much to offer.  Not only do you get a view of the Pittsburgh skyline, but there’s a lot of green space for more “park like” images there too.

I know a lot of people prefer the inclines or Mount Washington, but my favorite view of the city is here at the Westend… I just love how the point looks from here.

Right after we took this one, I spotted a family taking a family photo minus mom (who was taking the photo).  I walked over to her, literally loaded down with photography equipment and offered to take the photo with her camera so she can be in it too.  She handed me her disposable camera and said “you just push this button here.” If I know how to use all of the equipment I have on me, chances are pretty good I know how to use your disposable camera. People crack me up.

Of course we had to get a few shots of the ring!  Reno actually bought the diamond from Kristy’s aunt (who is a diamond dealer) without Kristy having any idea. Nice job, Reno!

We had so much fun with them.  At one point they apologized for not being “serious” during our photo shoot, but we were thrilled that they were so comfortable.  Our goal is always to capture the personality of our subject.

One last photo for the day!  I love the archway here, no matter what time of year it is, the archway at the Westend Overlook always looks great and adds visual interest.
